Family owned · Milford, Michigan
Forty-seven years. One family. One standard.
Countryside Plumbing started in Milford in 1979 and never left. No private equity, no franchise playbook, no call center. Just a master plumber, the family behind him, and a phone number that's been answered honestly for nearly five decades.
The story
Built the slow way.
In 1979, a plumbing company didn't grow on advertising. It grew because the person whose water heater you replaced told their sister, and their sister told her neighbor. That's how Countryside Plumbing was built, one referred job at a time, across Milford and the towns around it.
Forty-seven years later, that's still the whole business model. Most of our work comes from repeat customers and the people they send us. Some of the houses we service today, we first worked on in the 1980s. A few customers are now the third generation of their family to have our number on the fridge.
Along the way we made a decision that shaped everything: instead of being average at everything, we'd be the best around at a few things. Water heaters. Sump pumps. Garbage disposals. The unglamorous machines that make a house actually work. When you do the same categories of work for decades in the same towns, you stop guessing. You've seen your exact problem before, probably hundreds of times.
What "master plumber" means
Michigan licenses plumbers in levels, and master plumber is the top of it: years as a journeyman, a state exam, and the legal authority to pull permits and run a plumbing business. It's the difference between someone who can install a part and someone who understands the whole system the part lives in. When Countryside shows up, that's the level of judgment walking through your door.
The standards that don't bend
- Free quotes, straight answers. You'll know what it takes and what it costs before we start.
- No upselling. If the cheap fix is the right fix, that's the one you'll hear about.
- We leave your house clean. Drop cloths, shoe covers, everything hauled away, work area wiped down.
- Licensed and insured. Fully, always, verifiable.
It adds up to a 4.9 star average across nearly 300 reviews, which we're proud of, and which we earn back one job at a time.
